Spring Break!!!
This was a fun week for us! We went to the Tri-Cities and stayed with my Aunt Christi, whom my children call Aunt Grandma! It was a nice week of shopping, relaxing, and Aqeel and I even squeezed in a temple visit! I wish I would have taken my camera cause Ayron also had his first real smile this week to my cousin Danielle (who is like the baby sister I wish I had)! It was a good time!!!!
Week Five
This was a bad week. It was spring break and I took a break.

Pay it Forward!!!
Pay it FORWARD--How it works:The FIRST THREE people to leave a comment on this post will receive at some point during this year a handmade gift from me. What it will be and when it will arrive will be a total surprise--to both of us.The CATCH is that YOU MUST PLAY TOO! Before you leave your comment here, write a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going (you can cut and paste these instructions). Then come back and let me know that you are going to play, and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift. It's THAT easy!Remember, only the FIRST THREE comments will qualify. Good luck!

Week Three
Weight: 174, down one pound from last week, 9lbs overall!!!
Exercise: ran 1.25 miles and walked 3/4 mile in 28 mins!
Food plan: Well I have to say I cheated. We took the kids to Burger King last Fri night and I ordered a chick sand and side salad, which would have been a good order except when we got home I realized they gave me fries instead of a salad. So, since I was hungry and lazy I ate the fries. I could have made my own salad at home, but I didn't and I felt so guilty eating those fries. The guilt was so intense that the fries didn't even taste that good. I will chalk this up as a failure that was a wonderful learning experience for me. Other than the fries I have done well. I gave up all desert type foods and potato chips this week. So, in all I have given up candy, deserts, greasy fried foods, and potato chips. Giving up the deserts has been hard these past two days, but I am holding out strong so far...

Eye of the Tiger
My high school mascot was the tiger and back in the day nothing got my blood boiling more than this song(if you can't hear it turn up/on your speakers)... To this day I love this song! It is so motivating for me! So, I have decided to use it as my motivating force over the next year as I take on my lifestyle change. One thing I will be incorporating is my weekly check in on my blog. I will post my weight for the week as well as how I am doing with my eating plan an exercise. I figure this is a way to not only make me more responsible for my change, but also to get some support from people I know that love me and have my back!
I will call this week two as last Thursday I already unofficially posted my weight. So, here goes...
Week Two
Weight: 175, down 3lbs from last week (YEAH!!!)
Eating: still no candy however, I did take the kids to McDonald's. I had a grilled chicken sand and apple walnut salad so I am not counting this as a break in the plan because I chose healthy options. I am also proud of myself because the kids fries were sooo tempting me, but I did not give in to even a bite!
Exercise: Although officially I am not supposed to start exercise til next Thursday I did get on the treadmil today. Mostly because I was curious. It has been a year since I ran last and my body was feeling it. I acomplished 2 miles in 31:30 mins. I speedwalked the last 1/4 mile, but all in all I think I did ok for my first time back. So, we will see how next week goes.

10 reasons I am grateful
Ayron had his blessing this last weekend. It was a beautiful blessing and we had two of my brothers and my grandfather here to help with the blessing. Ayron was dressed in the blessing outfit that I crocheted for Jr along with the blanket I made also. He looked so sweet!!!
(I hate the way I look in this picture, but thought I should post it anyway)
I am so grateful to have such a sweet, perfect little bundle from heaven!!!!
